all about amy + Jerred

A german major and sewing wedding dresses led to this.
She taught me everything, from how to run the business to how to operate a camera. It wasn't until I started working with families that I saw the magic. I saw how beautiful messy snuggles and tight hugs could be. Not only that, but I saw how meaningful these photos would be to all the families I worked with. So here I am, photographing the story of every family, pregnancy and the whole shebang. I love my work more than most, and can't wait to document your family magic.
Yes, you read that right. I have my college degree in German, after some amazing years studying abroad in Switzerland. After having no clue what to do with my degree, I worked with my sister sewing wedding dresses and answering emails for her successful Etsy brand. From there, I met her friend who was a wedding photographer and brought me on as a studio manager to run her business behind the scenes.

My kin

I live a bit outside of the city in the Hudson Valley with my husband Jerred, my stepchild Sora, and our two pups Scout and Lenny. Jerred and Sora came into my life 6 years ago, when Sora was only 4 years old. She is 11 years old now, and I can't believe how much we treasure the photos of her when she was little. I can't stress enough how much family photos mean, especially as the kids get older.
We welcomed our little girl Willa last March, and I'm slowly getting my footing in motherhood. We love her beyond anything and can't wait to see her grow!
As a family, we love to explore new places, eat lots of sushi and dumplings, DIY projects on our home, nature walks, Disneyworld and making campfires in our backyard. Personally, I am a big fan of whiskey tasting, Mexican food, and late summer concerts in the park.
